2. 1 Samuel 7:3

3. 2 Kings 17:12-15

   • "For they served idols, whereof YHVH had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.  Yet YHVH testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.  Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in YHVH their God.  And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom YHVH had charged them, that they should not do like them."

4. 2 Chronicles 30:5-8

   • "So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto YHVH God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.  So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto YHVH God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.  And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against YHVH God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.  Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto YHVH, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve YHVH your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you."

6. Jeremiah 3:21-23

   • "A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten YHVH their God.  Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art YHVH our God.  Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in YHVH our God is the salvation of Israel."

7. Jeremiah 18:11

   • "Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith YHVH; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good."

    • "O Israel, return unto YHVH thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.  Take with you words, and turn to YHVH: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.  Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.  I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him."
